Community has a way of bringing people together.

One of the things I was most excited about when I moved to Gainesville was becoming part of the community, not just photographing weddings here. I started showing up to vendor events, meeting other photographers, and getting to know the people who have been pouring into this city for years.

That's how I met Sara and Brian.

We jumped on a call and instantly hit it off. Sara's a pediatrician, Brian plays trombone for weddings, and somewhere in between talking about music and their plans for the day, we also talked about the things that mattered most to them. The family dynamics. The people they wanted to feel cared for. The kind of wedding day they wanted to remember.

When rain found us, clear umbrellas came out. When family photos felt a little complicated, we took them one step at a time. My job isn't to pretend those moments don't exist. It's to help carry them so you can stay present with the people you're there to celebrate.

That's what you'll see throughout this gallery. Not a perfect day, but a real one. One where Sara and Brian could focus on each other, knowing someone else was already thinking a few steps ahead.
