This one means a lot to me.

Taylor and Silas have been in front of my camera long before their wedding day.

We actually met while I was living in Charlotte when they were graduating college together and wanted graduation photos. We spent the evening wandering around campus, laughing the whole time and it honestly was us hanging out.

A while later, Silas reached out because he was planning to propose and wanted a few tips. Seeing those messages turn into a proposal in the mountains, then an engagement session, and now their wedding day is one of those things that reminds me why I love what I do.

By the time their wedding came around, I already knew them. I knew about their two dogs they got after their graduation, Apollo and Dax. I knew how much they loved traveling together. I knew how laid back they are and how they interact when nobody's asking them to smile at a camera.

I think that's why these photos feel the way they do.

I'm not showing up to spend eight hours with strangers. I'm showing up with people I genuinely care about. We talk throughout the day because that's just what we do, not because I'm trying to get a reaction for a photo. The photos happen because they're living their day and I'm lucky enough to be there to witness it!
